Once the appropriate mix is determined, a recipe of wood, and food waste will be loaded into the in-vessel composter. After 3 - 4 days in the vessel, the compost will be 75 percent mature.  In order to achieve mature compost, the compost requires an additional 14 to 21 days of curing.

Upon discharge, the compost will be moved to a curing area with 5 bays.  For a week, the material will be discharged into a pile,  after 7 days, the material will be moved to the next bay. This process will keep the material aerated during the curing phase and will help to ensure a quality compost product.

When the curing phase is over, the cured compost will be screened and moved to the bulk sales area and/or bagging system.
